About

Hi! My name is Tori, and I want to thank you for taking the time to explore my website and my artistic journey. I am a relatively new artist with a focus to create work that not only delights the eye but also inspires profound thought and provokes meaningful questions about the buildings we pass by everyday. This site serves as a platform for me to share my portfolio and connect with a community of individuals who share an interest in exploring the rich history of Washington, D.C., and the magnificent buildings and structures that form the backbone of its unique story.

My artistic journey has taken a deeper personal significance after the recent passing of my mother, who was both an architect and a passionate history enthusiast. Upon inheriting my mother’s art supplies I decided to honor my mom’s creativity and love for design through my own artistic endeavors.

Through my compositions, I hope to inspire a sense of curiosity and appreciation for the immediate surroundings in all who view my work. I aim to encourage people to look beyond the ordinary and to recognize the buildings and structures of their cities not solely as functional spaces, but as beautiful, lasting works of art in their own right, each with a unique story to tell.

The artists featured at the ARO Collective Art Show

Every column, cornice, and facade has a unique story to tell, a narrative of design, construction, and the countless human moments that have occurred within its shadow. By focusing my lens on the architectural heritage of Washington, D.C., I invite viewers to pause, to observe the details, and to reconnect with the historical and aesthetic richness that surrounds them every single day. It is my mission to elevate these structures from mere background elements to the central, lasting masterpieces they deserve to be recognized as.
