The Heurich House in Washington, D.C., built between 1892 and 1894, is one of the city’s best-preserved examples of Richardsonian Romanesque residential architecture. The house remained in the Heurich family until 1956, later serving as headquarters of the Historical Society of Washington before becoming a museum.
